Those of us who couldn't get in to Barbra's performance at The Vanguard might have tuned in to tonight's episode on "American Dad" (on Fox) for a few laughs. The episode titled "In Country .. Club" carried a sub plot about Roger (the alien) and his desperate attempts to gain access to a Barbra Streisand concert on pay-per-view (sound familiar?). An animated Barbra performs on stage in a concert called "Barbra Does Celine."

The animation of Barbra on stage was cute, but the Streisand story line was quite lame and in the end, they go for a cheap shot (why do they always have to do that).  Still, it's fascinating to note how often Barbra Streisand is referenced in American pop culture. If you missed the episode, watch it on the Fox web site. Otherwise, you can probably catch it again in re-runs.
