Auction Nets over $600K

The two day Barbra
Streisand auction ended today and netted over $600K for The Barbra
Streisand Foundation.
The auction, was conducted in Beverly Hills on October 17 & 18.
The most popular items for Barbra's fans, as
expected, were her costumes. From "Clear Day" to "Fockers,"
competition hit fever pitch as wardrobe items from Barbra's films, TV
specials and concerts were opened for bidding. The big item, coming in
at $11,000 was Barbra's gown from her 1994 concert tour. |

came up
for bids
(lot 489,
far right),
this
announcement
from the
auctioneer:
"Miss
Streisand may request to borrow the jewelry from this lot to
use in the sequel, for continuity purposes."

Memorabilia Auction to Benefit
Streisand Foundation

Julien's Auctions
has announced that they will conduct a
second Barbra Streisand auction in October (their first Streisand sale
was in 2004). Barbra will be offering personal
items and career memorabilia on October 17 & 18, with
all proceeds to benefit the Streisand
Foundation.
The auction will take place in
Beverly Hills and is open to internet
bidders. Previews will be held during a
transatlantic crossing aboard the Queen
Mary 2, followed by additional previews in
County Kildare,
Ireland and Los
Angeles.
