According to the Associated Press, producer Pierre
Cossette passed away on September 11 at the age of 85. Up until
his retirement in 2005, Cossette produced the Grammy Award
telecast each year.
We have Cossette to thank for providing us
with one of the most spectacular performances of all time:
Barbra Streisand's live televised duet with Neil Diamond at the
1980 Grammys.
