News/September 2004

Usually elusive to the tabloid media, Barbra Streisand made an exception at the Emmy Awards, stopping by the "Extra" podium for an interview with a very special correspondent.

Caleigh Peters Lands Exclusive

September 19, 2004

Barbra made a stunning Hollywood entrance at the Shrine Auditorium for the 2004 Emmys on September 19. Arriving on the red carpet, Barbra was in the pink, and on hand to support her husband, up for a Best Actor award for The Reagans (Brolin lost out to Al Pacino's extraordinary performance in 'Angels in America').

Later on in the evening, Barbra appeared on Extra. In the evening's biggest celebrity scoop, Extra's Caleigh Peters (Barbra's goddaughter) landed the only full length interview with Barbra. Barbra soon turned the interview around, grabbing the mike from Caleigh and telling the world all about her favorite correspondent.

With Barbra trying out her skills as a reporter, Mary Hart had better watch her back.
