Famed playwright and screenwriter Larry Gelbart passed away at his home in Beverly Hills at the age of 81. Of his numerous film, stage and television credits, Gelbart will be best remembered as the creator of the TV comedy series, "M*A*S*H." In 1973, Larry Gelbart (along with Ken and Mitzie Welch) wrote all of Barbra Streisand's non-singing dialogue for the television special, "Barbra Streisand ... And Other Musical Instruments."
