Dunbar in "The Way We Were" & The Photographer in "A Star Is Born"
She
must have been very good in a reading of "Romeo and Juliet" with
Barbra at The Actors Studio (way back when) because Sally
Kirkland was later cast in two Streisand films (the photographer
in "A Star Is Born" and Katie's friend, Pony Dunbar in "The Way We Were").
Sally Kirkland, a favorite
among Streisand fans, was also on hand for another Streisand
film, but behind the cameras, coaching Barbra in scenes from
"Yentl."

the nurse, I played Juliet, and she played my friend in 'The

Kirkland is a producer and quintessential character actress with
over 150 film and television credits on the books. She's done it
all, from film, to primetime television, to soaps. Kirkland
currently has several projects in post production, including an
untitled television pilot expected to be shown this fall.
