Lauren Frost received world-wide attention with her portrayal of a young Barbra Streisand during Barbra's 2000 concert tour, "Timeless."

Barbra's Mini-Me from "Timeless"

One of the more inventive devices chosen for Barbra's "Timeless" concerts back in 2000 was the depiction of her teenaged self. Young newcomer Lauren Frost was first to take the stage and reenacted Barbra's very first recording session from 1955. The song was "You'll Never Know" and as Lauren imitated young Barbra, the present-day version made her grand entrance. They continued in a charming duet of "Something's Coming." Frost would appear again during the show's Act 1 and Act 2 finales, tying the autobiographical aspect of "Timeless" into a neat bundle.

Lauren Frost was recruited for the role in "Timeless," partly because she bears a striking resemblance to Barbra, but mostly because she has a legitimate singing voice. Her on-stage harmonies with Barbra were flawless, especially during their three-way vocal of "A Piece of Sky" (sung along with Barbra and a video clip from "Yentl").

Since "Timeless," Lauren has continued her performance career and landed some impressive gigs. Most notable was her inclusion in the AFI tribute to Streisand when she serenaded Barbra with the Bergman tune, "On The Way To Becoming Me." She stopped the show in a stunning opening tribute that obviously moved Barbra.

Frost has also performed with Marvin Hamlisch (the musical director of "Timeless") on the stage of the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. The evening was part of Hamlisch's "The Music of Barbra Streisand" tour and Frost's role was, once again, to play a young Barbra. She wowed the audience with a stirring rendition of "I'm The Greatest Star" from "Funny Girl," replete with full costume in a spot-on impersonation.

Today, Lauren Frost performs in occasional stage and concert performances. Having completed the series "Even Stevens" on The Disney Channel, she recently played the role of Dorothy in a stage performance of "The Wizard of Oz."

In August of 2008, Lauren Frost released her first solo album.
