Barbra 2009: A Year in the Life |
Feature/December 2009 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
 |
The Jonathan Ross Show
Barbra gave a dynamic
interview followed by a live
performance on a popular BBC
talk show in October. |

A
Chart
Topping
Album
and
a
Return
to
the
Village.
What
A
Year!
December 31, 2009
What a
year
it
was.
Barbra
Streisand's
extraordinary
accomplishments
in
2009
were
not
only
record
breaking
but
historic.
Already,
Barbra's
performance
at
New
York's
Village
Vanguard
is
being
hailed
as
one
of
the
most
noteworthy
of
her
career.
And
as
if a
top
rated
television
special
and
two
best
selling
DVDs
weren't
enough,
Barbra
shattered
industry
records
when
her
new
album
debuted
at
#1.
Barbra's
return
to
the
top
of
the
music
charts
in
2009
places
her
in a
league
of
her
own,
becoming
the
only
artist
in
history
to
have
a
top
selling
album
in
five
decades
running.
As we look toward 2010, we are
already
anticipating
new
things
from
Barbra.
An
early
year
release
of
the
Vanguard
CD
and
DVD
will
have
fans
lined
up
at
record
stores.
Barbra's
first
book
will
hit
store
shelves
as
well.
And
a
reprisal
of her role
in
the
new
"Fockers"
movie
seems
all
but
certainty.
So
as
we
gear
up
for
for
another
exciting
year,
we
wish
Barbra,
and
all
of
our
friends
here
at
Barbratimeless
good
health
and
loads
of
prosperity
in
2010.
