Honored
at The National Museum of
American Jewish History
November 13, 2010
The
National
Museum of American Jewish
History opened this
evening in Philadelphia.
Barbra walked the red
carpet at tonight's
opening-night gala with
husband Jim and her
manager, Martin Erlichman.
Jerry Seinfeld and Bette
Midler
provided the
evening's entertainment.
The museum is the only
facility in the world
dedicated to chronicling
the American Jewish
experience. Barbra is one
of the first to be
inducted into the museum's
"Only In America Hall of
Fame."
The iconic costume Barbra
wore in "Yentl" (which she
personally donated to the
museum's collection) is
part of their permanent
display honoring her
achievements as a
Jewish-American artist. A
slide show presentation,
along with items of
memorabilia from Barbra's
50 years in show business
are part of the Streisand
tribute.
The museum (and the
Streisand exhibit) opens
to the general public on
November 26, 2010. You can
find the museum on
Philadelphia's historic
mall, just yards away from
Independence Hall and
across the green from The
Liberty Bell.
