Noted Character Actor in "For Pete's Sake"

June 26, 2005
You might not know his name, but you'll certainly remember Vincent Schiavelli as the "Fruit Loops" guy from the Barbra Streisand comedy, For Pete's Sake. Schiavelli passed away on December 26, 2005, at his home in Southern Italy.

In addition to playing the surly grocery clerk opposite Barbra's Henrietta Robbins, Vincent portrayed other equally quirky character roles in such films as One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The People vs. Larry Flynt and Ghost.

Vincent Schiavelli succumbed to lung cancer. He was 57.
